Justice K Surendra Mohan is the President of the Kerala State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and President of the Lakshadweep Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. He is the one who obtained highest marks in his LL.M and gold medalist. He was the lecturer in government Law College Ernakulam and faculty in Judicial Academy . He also served as faculty of Cochin University of Science and technology . He wrote several leading judgements such as Sunil Kumar v. EPFO, wherein the Employees Pension (Amendment) Scheme was declared unconstitutional because it curtails the pensionary benefits of the poor pensioners whose contributions to the EPF are withheld by the EPF Commissioner at his whims and fancies . This judgement was later modified by the Supreme Court. Another poor-oriented judgement of the Honourable Mr. Justice K Surendra Mohan was that Asokan V. State of Kerala which nullified the marriage of an adult woman who converted to Islam with a Muslim man The habeas corpus petition filed by her father was allowed and sent her with her parents. This judgment clearly shows the love and affection of a father towards his daughter. After assuming charge in the Kerala State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission Mr Justice K Surendra Mohan uplifted its position to a national first rank on case disposal ratio. Online Sitting was nationally introduced first time in Kerala, Online adalath was introduced. The National banks plundering policies of imposing exorbitant interest on loans were deprecated by him. Police personnel were appointed in all the fourteen districts in order to execute the warrants
